7 AMAZING FACE MASKS FOR THE FESTIVE SEASON

Hello everyone !Diwali is just around the corner and everyone wants to look special,so I compiled these seven DIY recipes for glowing skin. Also comment below which one is your favourite and if you would like a look idea for diwali.

1)The honey and lemon face mask
This one is great if you want to lighten or de-tan your skin.Additionally it moisturizes the skin (because of the honey) and also keeps acne at a bay.Simply mix 1 tbsp of honey with 1/2 tbsp of lemon and apply it .Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and then wash off. This can possibly be great for dry skin because it provides moisture.

2)The papaya face mask
This one is my ultimate favorite and I have already written a detailed post about it here .But it's actually a mixture of papaya puree, honey, lemon and gram flour(besan). This the best I've ever tried and works wonders in very little time. Also you could replace the besan with cornflour since I've learnt that some people are allergic to besan.

3)The mint and mud pack
This one is really simple to make. All you need to do is mix crushed mint leaves and add multani mitti( fuller's earth) to it and then adding rose water. This is great for oily skin, because the mud will absorb all the excess oil and mint leaves will leave tired skin looking fresh and beautiful.Mint is a cooling agent and will help in reducing acne as well.

4)The rice pack
Have leftover cooked rice ?This pack could put it to use.Just mash 1 tbsp of leftover rice and mix it with little amount of warm milk.Apply this mask and keep it for 5-7 minutes.Massage your skin for another 3-5 minutes and then wash off with warm water. This one is great for dry and ageing skin since a regular usage will leave your skin looking younger and glowing. So,this one is great one to pamper your mother for diwali :P

5)The potato mask
Potatoes are tasty and they make you look beautiful as well.Simply grate a potato and a cucumber and apply the juice on your face using a cotton ball.Wash off after 15 minutes.Potato and cucumber are great lightening agents and also the are gentle on your skin,so using them is safe.Cucumber is a cooling agent and with soothe in case of inflammation.

6)The almond rice mask
This one again works best for ageing or mature skin.Mix rice flour with almond oil and honey.Leave it on your skin for about 20 minutes and then wash off slowly by scrubbing .This one is a great anti-ageing ,exfoliating and skin lightening scrub.

7)The egg mask
Okay.To be honest I have not tried this one because I am a vegetarian ,but I've read a lot about using egg whites as a natural peel-off mask that will only make your skin clear. This one is great if you have blackheads and whiteheads and also moisturizes your skin.So if you're looking for something to help you quick.Choose this one .

Okay,So this is it for this post ,I'll see you next time with a new post that's going to make you more of a narcissist than you already are.If you have any other masks leave a comment below, also if you try any of these and post a fun picture and tag me on instagram @hir_1997,join me on facebook and twitter and recommend the post on google plus.Till then, good bye and I love you all xo.
