Hey everyone! This post is about Whisper’s Blogger meet which took place at St Regis,Mumbai.It was a great event, I was really happy to be a part of it since Whisper is one brand that celebrates who are, also it brought out in the open one issue that was always under covers and very crucial-Periods.
The event began on really fun notes ,hosted by stand-up comedian Aditi Mittal who was extremely cute and funny. She cracked a lot of period jokes that were both hilarious and meaningful. The most hilarious one being, imagine what could an army of menstruating girls could do, if each one could rot a pickle jar by just touching it.She touched upon some serious issues in a humorous way, as simple as not touching a jar of pickle to being locked up at home for those 5 days.
We were also familiarized with their campaign #LikeaGirl which focused on how being a girl is not equivalent to being weak.It in fact meant to be strong and being the best at what you do.
Actress Kalki Koechlin was the highlight.She was very open and supportive of the campaign .She spoke about how you could use your period as an asset and not feel weak about it.She had represented the campaign at various platforms and supported period education.She was completely proud of being a girl and inspired us to do the same.
Dr. Nandita Palshetkar who is a gynecologist and IVF specialist also busted some myths about periods and spoke about the things we could do to ease our period.She said we could completely live normally during our period and exercise just the same way,so now we don’t have an excuse to not go to the gym.She also emphasized on using the right sanitary napkin on your period like whisper ultra.
R&D expert Chetan Kotyalkar explained how the all new product is 5 times better in terms of better absorption,better dryness,better coverage,better scent and better comfort by the softer top sheet .He also demonstrated how whisper ultra was better than 5 regular napkins put together in terms of amount and speed of absorption.
There was a very interactive activity session where we could do tasks with our fellow blogger friends and have a ball.
